Jewellery Extravaganza and Memorabilia
This antique finger ring is crafted from 9-karat gold, confirmed by the interior British assay hallmark of 9.375 and an anchor symbol, suggesting a Birmingham assay office origin. The ring is executed in the popular Edwardian or late Victorian Gypsy setting style, characterized by a broad, domed band with flush-set gemstones. The front of the band features three star-set round gemstones: a central round-cut ruby, flanked by two colorless stones. One colorless stone, presumed to be a round-cut diamond based on period and setting, remains set, while the third setting is currently vacant due to stone loss. The gold surface exhibits a textured, slightly granular finish characteristic of antique wear.
